PRACTICAL WISDOM FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY LIFE

    ABOUT SYDNEY

Two degrees in psychology and intensive training in life coaching and hypnotherapy have given me a firm foundation in human dynamics and an equally firm belief in our endless ability to change and grow. In complement to my psychological training, many years of exploring Eastern philosophies have shown me how to use valuable spiritual principles and practices for living a meaningful life.

    INNER HOUSEKEEPING

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could clean your home just one time? Do a little dusting, a little vacuuming, wash the floors and bathrooms —and never need to do it again? That’s how I think of inner work. I can’t imagine that one experience of self-reflection and exploration (no matter how long or intense) would serve us for a lifetime. Too many things change and affect us differently at various times in our lives.

Now, instead of referring to this essential practice as inner work, I often call it “inner housekeeping” because it needs to be done on a regular basis. That’s why I teach clients how to use the tools they need to do this important work—first with the kind of thorough cleaning you do before guests come to stay, then with the maintenance work you do to keep your “home” in good shape.

    APPROACH

Although I integrate methods from the various education and trainings I've received, mostly I draw upon my personal experience as someone who has spent a lifetime journeying from a young woman who tried very hard to be who she thought she should be, to becoming comfortable with, even proud of, who she already was and who she was becoming.

Along the way, I devised simple techniques for:

    • "dissolving” inner conflicts before they deplete one’s energy,

    • staying balanced despite others' witting or unwitting attempts to sabotage us,

    • reclaiming and integrating all of one’s self (especially the parts we try to hide, condemn, or run away from),

    • living with integrity so that we truly like the person that we are.

It is my extreme pleasure to companion people on this fascinating journey, show them how to use "practical wisdom" and help them to live a more awakened and gratifying life.
